On April 8th, The First Coast Miata Club will be participating at Caffeine & Octane at the Avenues Mall. Our Club will be featured with a special parking paddock for Miatas. The event is full of exotics, muscle cars, specialty vehicles and Miatas of course. There will be food trucks and the local restaurants will be open for breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
C&O starts at 8, and we would like to have everyone there by that time to get a spot for your Miata. At 9:30, we will head into the food court, on the side opposite of Chik-Fil-A (near the bathrooms) for a brief meeting. We will discuss the April drive (a makeup for the March drive that was cancelled) and the picnic. This will be in place of our regular second Tuesday meeting. The next meeting will be at the picnic on May 20th.
If you drive a Miata and are interested in joining FCMC, stop on by and join us at the Miata Paddock!
On April 22nd, we will meet at the Journey Food Store in the community of Glen St. Mary, Florida to begin our March Journey. The drive will be a true country road Miata fun run! The route will take us through a National forest and the beautiful countryside on twisty seldom traveled roads courtesy of event driver, Art!
Our destination will be the Country Buffet in Lake City, Florida for a great meal of Southern Comfort food. We have our own dining area reserved for us. This is a drive worth taking!
So clean-em up, gas-em up and show-up hungry for another fun Miata Day. See all YA'LL on the 22nd !!!
On May 20th from 10:30am-2:30pm, we will have our annual club Picnic / Officer Elections at the BRAND NEW (opened in January) William 'Bill' Gulliford, Jr. (Mayport) Community Center at David Wayne Pack Park. This park is usually just known as the Mayport boat ramps. You get there by taking Mayport Road, driving PAST the ferry slip, to the end of the road. Boat ramps are on the left, the Community Center is on the right. It’ll be a nice change in venue.
The picnic will be from 11AM to 2PM, which is a 3 hour window and gives us 30 minutes before and after for setup & breakdown. Come early & stay late to help. We will have the white elephant swap table, where people can bring in their old/unused Miata parts, accessories & memorabilia, and I’m pretty sure Jim is conjuring up a few prizes to draw for.
Stay posted for updates on food & refreshments and other!
Please note: the google map location is showing the park as permanently closed. It is not and has just re-opened.
